Piers Morgan tears Keir Starmer apart with stinging five word dig on migrant crisis | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Piers Morgan has spoken out against Sir Keir Starmer in a brutal swipe on social media. The former Good Morning Britain presenter didn’t hold back after reports revealed that 2025 is the highest year on record for small boat crossings. Resharing a post made by GB News host Tom Harwood, the latest figures come from a report by The Spectator. Tom said: “Never have so many unwanted boats successfully made their way across the channel since 1066.” The report is regularly updated, and the timely data is putting immense pressure on the Prime Minister, who promised to “finally take back control” of migration.

This comment was mocked by Piers Morgan, who retweeted the data and said on X: “‘We’ll smash the gangs’ – @Keir_Starmer,” accompanied by a confused face emoji, as Starmer had previously stated that he would “smash the gangs” to stop small boat crossings.

One person in the comment section said: “What a disaster Starmer’s turned out to be. He’s your version of Joe Biden, which means next time around, you’ll be looking at Nigel Farage or Ben Habib.”

A second also chimed in: “@Keir_Starmer Never had or never will have any plan to stop the boats!! He is simply doing as he is being instructed. The aim is the destruction of this country. He is doing a fairly decent job at that I think we would agree!!”

However, someone else argued a different side: “The gangs are smashing the hell out of Starmer & his equally inept and ineffectual colleagues, in much the same way they smashed the hell out of that clown BoJo. They’re all complicit in this mess, but it was all started by Tony Blair & Barbara Roche. They’re truly to blame.”

As of September 20th, the number of migrants crossing the English Channel so far in 2025 now stands at 32,103 – a record for this point in a year.

The latest Home Office figures showed that 1,072 people made the journey in 13 boats in just one day, taking the total number of people who have made the crossing so far in 2025 to 32,103.

At the start of October this year, the illegal migrant crisis reached a “major milestone” as GB News claimed over 35,000 migrants had crossed the Channel illegally in 2025.

The total is believed to now stand at 35,150, which is just over 1,500 short of the number of migrants who arrived in the UK throughout the whole of last year.
