Meghan Markle was ridiculed on social media after a parody account mocked her appearance at Paris Fashion Week. The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Balenciaga’s Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show on Saturday night, to support the fashion house’s creative director and her friend, Pier Paolo Piccioli.
Meghan made a quick entrance to the show, only announcing her arrival a few minutes before she was seen taking her seat in the front row. She donned an all-white ensemble with black heels and a black bag before changing to a black outfit for the fashion house’s afterparty, with all pieces being custom-made for the Duchess.
But a video of her exiting the fashion show by Vogue went viral on social media, with several fans mocking her walk as she posed in front of the cameras.
The clip inspired a parody account on TikTok and Instagram, @meghantheduchessofsus, to make a skit about the moment, with the woman behind the camera wearing a crinkled bedsheet to imitate Meghan’s cape.
The entertainer made an exaggerated rendition of Meghan Markle’s red carpet walk, and royal fans could contain their laughter.
Amid several comments containing the laughing face emoji, one user wrote on TikTok: “The way this isn’t even an exaggeration. She was wearing a sheet and looking around as if she was convinced her presence was healing the world.”
Meanwhile, a second fan exclaimed on Instagram: “Brilliant!! [clapping hands emoji]”
Another one added: “Blooming brilliant!!!” A fourth person said: “I actually think you wore the outfit better!”
The skit was shared on other social media platforms, with a user commenting on X: “Imagine wearing a wrinkled sheet for a wrap?”
A second person wrote: “So funny Love it.” Another one said: “Spot on hahahaha.”
A fourth user howled: “Omgeeee, haha… she did this one quick… she’s too good … too funny .”
The original video uploaded by Vogue saw many users asking in the comment section the reason why she was walking like that, however, there were several fans who praised her for her fashion forward appearance.
One user wrote: “Cali girls just do everything better.” Another fan said: “She is who she said she is!!! [fire emoji]”
A third user defended the Duchess, commenting: “She’s walking like that so she can get a slay picture.. any of you haters would do the same for a [fire emoji] vogue pic.”
