Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s next potential royal outing | Royal | News

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been keeping a low profile over the last few weeks as a result of their mum Sarah Ferguson’s latest scandal. Last month, it was revealed that Sarah, Duchess of York, had emailed the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 after he had been released from prison for child sex offences.

In the email, Eugenie and Beatrice’s mum referred to Epstein as her “supreme friend” and apologised for criticising him in the press. A spokesperson for the duchess has since claimed Sarah only sent the email out of fear he was going to sue her for defamation. While it is now believed Sarah is “going through hell” as a result of the scandal, with various charities dropping her as royal patron, it has also been argued that both her daughters will also have struggled.

This is because although they may not be directly affected, the revelation is likely to have upset Sarah’s daughters, with some reports claiming that it will have broken the trust they had with their mother.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also believes that both Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, will find the situation “devastating”, especially if it results in their parents being kept even more than they already are out of the royal fold.

Although the sisters have kept a low profile since the scandal broke, with Eugenie only returning to social media to discuss her The Anti-Slavery Collective charity work, it is likely they could return to the royal stage soon.

While unconfirmed, it is possible that the sisters could next be seen at a royal event in early December, which could see them attend Princess Kate’s annual Together At Christmas carol service.

While Eugenie has only attended a few of the concerts before, Beatrice has attended every year – with this year not expected to be any different.

The exact date of the carol service has not yet been confirmed, but it is normally held within the first two weeks of December at Westminster Abbey.

The purpose of the concert, organised by Princess Kate, is to bring people together at Christmas time and thank those who offer vital help and support in their communities.

Royals who frequently attend the annual event include Kate’s husband Prince William and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

It has not been confirmed whether or not Eugenie or Beatrice will attend the carol service this year, or indeed Christmas at Sandringham – an event their parents Prince Andrew and Sarah are believed to have been uninvited from.
