November in the UK is often gloomy, wet, and cold, and by this point in the year, many people are missing the sun. As the days get shorter and the rain picks up, it’s easy to start dreaming of beaches, blue skies, and warm evenings.

While most of Europe starts to cool down for winter, there are still a few destinations that stay warm. And for those who want real heat, heading a little further afield is the best way to find it. The Met Office has listed the 10 hottest places to go on holiday in November, and each one has average daytime temperatures of at least 21C.

Camara de Lobos - Madeira

10. Madeira, Portugal – 21.7C

The Portuguese island off the coast of Africa stays pleasantly warm in November. Average daytime temperatures reach 21.7C and evenings are mild.

Rain is more likely this month, but there are still around six hours of sunshine a day. Visitors can enjoy stunning hikes, cable car rides and the historic streets of Funchal.

Fuerteventura offers warm weather all year round, and November is no exception. The island sees average highs of 24.2C and around seven hours of daily sunshine.

Its beaches are among the best in the Canaries, and the breeze makes it a good choice for water sports too. Rain is rare and short-lived.

Tenerife remains a popular winter sun destination thanks to its mild climate. In November, it still sees daytime temperatures of 24.3C.

There may be the odd rainy day, but sunshine is still common. Visitors can explore volcanic landscapes, enjoy coastal walks or relax by the beach without the summer crowds.
