Netflix has just added an iconic comedy film that’s still scandalous and hilarious over a decade after it was first released.
Featuring one of Hollywood’s most beloved comedic actresses, this cheeky film from 2011 still boasts a devoted following 14 years after it had cinema-goers in stitches.
Viewers seeking plenty of risqué jokes and sharp wit now have the opportunity to indulge in some nostalgia as Bad Teacher has landed in Netflix’s collection this October.
Cameron Diaz stars in this uproarious story of a bitter middle school educator who fantasises about escaping her mundane existence to wed someone wealthy.
Comedy enthusiasts have remained entertained by this quirky romantic comedy throughout the past decade and a half, and now presents the ideal moment for another viewing since it’s returned to Netflix’s library.
One admirer awarded it a five-star Google review, writing: “Bad Teacher is irreverent, crude, amoral and offensive on many levels. But that’s also what makes it a bit of fun.
“A B-grade cast has been assembled for this gold digger-gone-wrong comedy. The characters are fairly predictable, as is the storyline but that makes it light hearted and easy to watch.”
Another glowing review cautioned: “Definitely not for the “uptight” or “prudish” viewer (which I have been accused of many times).
“But the movie was exactly what it was meant to be … a comedy. Albeit, a bit raunchy at times, you know right from the opening few minutes whether you should watch it or not.
“With the mess that our world is in right now, it’s refreshing to be able to find an escape to laugh once in a while.”
And a final fan gushed: “Diaz is the Queen of Comedy, I forget just how funny she is sometimes.
“Bad Teacher had me laughing out loud consistently and I would actually say that on the ratio of hits-to-misses, there were more jokes that hit for me here. It was a really fun watch.
“I loved how horrible Cameron Diaz’s character Elizabeth was and thought it was hilarious that the film just lets her be bad, there is no moral lesson here.”
Fancy a belly-laugh inducing comedy this weekend? Netflix has got you covered.
