Television enthusiasts have been left absolutely gripped after discovering a psychological thriller hailed as “one of the greatest shows of all time”.
Film enthusiast Eccy Reviews, who utilises his TikTok platform to recommend must-watch movies and shows, has urged people to watch The Leftovers.
The series, crafted by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, unfolds three years following the mysterious vanishing of 2% of the world’s population.
It follows “a group of people in a small New York community try to continue their lives while coping with the tragedy of the unexplained nature of the event”.
Featuring Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, and Christopher Eccleston, the programme has secured 23 awardsfrom 84 nominations.
In his clip, Eccy Reviews declared: “Not many shows if ever have reached this level of greatness because this is truly one of the greatest pieces of television in history.
“There’s a generally whole collective that think this show is the greatest of all time. If you’re someone who has seen it, I bet you’ll agree.”
The programme, accessible on Now TV, Sky and HBO Max, has ignited debate across social media platforms, with one TikTok viewer remarking: “OMG, The Leftovers is my favourite show of all time.”
