Fortunately for M&S shoppers, the £12 Big Mix tin (1.2kg) is cheaper than the Quality Street tub, which costs around £7 for just 550g. If you’re after larger tubs of the latter, Ocado sells a 750g tin, which is the same price as M&S but for nearly 500g less.
The Big Mix Tin’s sheer size is filled with the supermarket’s largest ever assortment of chocolate-covered toffees, caramels, and creams, which will appeal to the whole family.
Sweet aficionados have plenty to rejoice over, from the Butterscotch Eclair to the Coffee Truffle. Shoppers have likened the nostalgic flavours to the original offering of Quality Street chocolates.
One eagle-eyed M&S shopper couldn’t believe their eyes when they spotted the tin on the shelves. They revealed the discovery on the well-known Facebook group Snack Reviews, sparking a frenzy among shoppers with thousands of likes and comments.
They uploaded it with the caption: “Closer look at the Big Mix 1.2kg Chocolates Tin from M&S. It’s £12 and full to the top. Also, see what flavours are inside!”
Customers flooded the comments section to voice their enthusiasm, with numerous people tagging their family members and declaring it essential for the Christmas period.
One customer commented: “Far better than Quality Street, and they’re in a foil wrapper as well!”.
“M&S have brought back proper Quality Street,” another contributor said. A third remarked: “Bought them today and tried them, they are very nice!”.
Others suggested that they could become the “new go-to Christmas chocolates”.
It’s not just M&S shoppers who can get their hands on the tasty festive mix. The large tin, plus a 650g box version of the Big Mix Tin, is available on Ocado for almost a fraction of the price (£7).
It shares the same flavours as the large 1.2kg tin, including:
- Salted Caramel
- Coffee Truffle
- Hazelnut in Caramel
- Milk Crème
- Cream Toffee
- Caramel Fudge
- Strawberry Crème
- Orange Crème
- Biscuit in Caramel
- Butterscotch Éclair
