These past few months have seen the release of many bingeable TV series, with some proving to be extremely popular, however, it is the films of Netflix that are the talking point of the moment. So, if you are looking for your next bout of escapism, look no further.

From murder mysteries to romantic comedies, there has been a lot to choose from, but one franchise is dominating the charts. Here is a list of the 10 most popular films streaming right now on Netflix. What will your next watch be?

10. The Royal Hotel

The Royal Hotel is a 2023 Australian psychological thriller film directed by Kitty Green, who co-wrote the screenplay with Oscar Redding. The film stars Julia Garner, Jessica Henwick, Toby Wallace, and Hugo Weaving and it is inspired by the 2016 documentary Hotel Coolgardie by Pete Gleeson. The synopsis reads: “Americans Hanna and Liv are backpacking in Australia and take a temporary live-in job in a remote Outback mining town. Soon, they find themselves trapped in an unnerving situation that grows rapidly out of their control.”

9. Inside Cadbury: Chocolate Secrets Unwrapped

Inside Cadbury is a 2019 documentary about the popular chocolate brand. The synopsis reads: “A fascinating look inside the Willie Wonka world of Cadbury over a year, as Britain’s biggest and best-loved chocolate firm reduces the sugar in Dairy Milk and launches an Easter Creme Egg campaign.”

8. Saiyaara

Saiyaara is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film directed by Mohit Suri. It is loosely based on the 2004 Korean film A Moment to Remember. It stars debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles. The synopsis states: “Passionate lovers navigate a rollercoaster romance, facing euphoric highs and crushing lows while desperately clinging to their tumultuous bond.”

7. KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along

A sing-along version of the popular Korean film is now streaming on the platform. The synopsis reads: “When K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey aren’t selling out stadiums or topping the Billboard charts, they’re moonlighting as demon hunters to protect their fans from ever-present supernatural danger.”

6. The Thursday Murder Club

The Thursday Murder Club is a 2025 crime comedy film directed by Chris Columbus from a screenplay by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote, based on the 2020 novel by Richard Osman. The film stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie with David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Richard E. Grant, Tom Ellis, Geoff Bell, Paul Freeman, Sarah Niles, and Ingrid Oliver in supporting roles. The synopsis reads: “Four retirees spend their time solving cold case murders for fun, but their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn when they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.”

5. I Am Not a Rapist

A short film releaed in 2020 detailing three men’s experiences. The film’s synopsis reads: “Nearly 60,000 rapes were reported to police in 2019 (ONS), and only 3% end in conviction. It’s estimated that up to 8% of these were false allegations (Home Office study 2005). This film tells the story of three young men falsely accused of rape, and the devastating consequences the allegations had on their lives.”

4. Unknown Number: The High School Catfish

Unknown Number: The High School Catfish is an American true crime documentary film directed by Skye Borgman and released to streaming in Agust 2025. The film’s synopsis states: “A teen girl and her boyfriend face persistent harassment from an unknown caller. Police investigating the months of torment discover a revelation that upends their initial assumptions.”

3. aka Charlie Sheen

aka Charlie Sheen is a 2025 two-part documentary film exploring the life of actor Charlie Sheen. The synopsis reads: “After seven years sober, Charlie Sheen candidly discusses his rise to fame and public downfall, joined by family and friends who share untold stories of his journey through stardom, struggles, and redemption.”

KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 American animated musical urban fantasy film directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans from a screenplay they co-wrote with Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan, based on a story conceived by Kang. The Wrong Paris is a 2025 American romantic comedy film directed by Janeen Damian and starring Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fodé, with a supporting cast including Madison Pettis, Frances Fisher and Yvonne Orji. The film’s synopsis reads: “A single woman enters a dating show thinking it’s in Paris, France only to discover it is actually in Paris, Texas.”
