Prince Andrew has been photographed driving in the Windsor Estate hours before President Donald Trump arrives for an unprecedented second State Visit. The latest image of the Duke of York comes shortly before King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to host the US President and First Lady at the Berkshire castle.
The 65-year-old looked to be keeping a low profile as he was seen driving around around the estate. The King, 76, and Queen, 77, are set to welcome Donald and Melania Trump on Wednesday – with the couple set to fly into the UK tomorrow.
Preparations for the state visit are already underway in Windsor as 7ft fences have been seen erected around Windsor Castle.
The public will not get a chance to greet the couple on the first day of their UK state visit, Buckingham Palace recently announced. Engagements will be held within the grounds of the private Windsor estate instead.
Andrew has also faced fresh bombshells after it was revealed that “incriminating” emails between him and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are currently being reviewed by the US Congress before they are made public.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said: “If you think what’s happened to Peter Mandelson is bad then you have no idea what will happen when the Andrew emails are released. They are embarrassing and incriminating and he could be destroyed.”
As well as his drive at the Windsor Estate today, Andrew was also spotted enjoying a morning horse ride on the grounds this weekend.
After being greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales on Wednesday morning, the couple will meet the King and Queen for an open-air greeting.
The US President will also receive a fly-past by the Red Arrows and UK and US F-35 military jets on the East Lawn at Windsor Castle on Wednesday – as well as a special Beating Retreat military ceremony.
Princess Kate is set to take on a huge role during Trump’s visit as she will join the First Lady, 55, at Frogmore Gardens in the Home Park at Windsor Castle to meet chief scout Dwayne Fields and members of the Scouts’ Squirrels programme on Thursday.
