There were more exhibits than usual on display when nudists held an after-dark private party in a museum last night. The declothed visitors, glass in hand, strolled around in the buff as they took in the artefacts at Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, inset.
But participants were reminded to bring their loose change for a locker to store their personal belongings before hanging out with their friends as they took in the history of Devon.
It was the first-ever naked visit that British Naturism has held at the venue but follows similar very successful nights. Organiser Keith Bowman said: “The idea originally came from a similar event organised in Surrey a few years ago, which was well attended and popular so I thought ‘If they can do it, so can we’.
“I anticipate more naked museum visits will be organised next year.”
Those who missed out can take part in BN’s three-mile Naked Heart Walk for the British Heart Foundation at Powderham Castle, in Exminster, on September 27.
