Prince Harry has ‘regrets’ over royal feud as Duke makes major shift | Royal | News

Prince Harry reportedly “regrets some of his actions” against the Royal Family and is eyeing up a “reset” with his estranged relatives, sources have claimed. The Duke of Sussex, who is now in Ukraine, spent four days in the UK this week carrying out various engagements linked to his charities and patronages, while he also met with his father, King Charles, for the first time in 19 months.

Father and son shared a private tea at Clarence House that lasted less than an hour. No other details of the meeting or what was said in it were disclosed. It was seen as a positive step for Harry, who has been estranged from the royals since his bombshell exit from the Firm five years ago and the various claims from him that followed. But according to royal sources, this week’s meeting could be a new beginning for the Sussexes, being part of a “functioning wider family again”.

A source told the Daily Mail: “It’s become clear that Harry now regrets some of his actions.

“He wants to reset his relationship with his family and with the people of the UK.

“It’s hard to see him ever coming back to live in Britain, but this may be the start of something that at least allows them to be a functioning wider family again.”

A spokesman for the Duke said about his UK visit: “He’s obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him.”

Meanwhile, a PR expert hailed Harry’s trip back to his home country and claimed he is set for a “full image reset” in the future.

Renae Smith, founder of PR agency The Atticism, told the Express: “I’d call this visit a real success for Harry.

“If Prince William had done the exact same schedule, it would have been hailed as a great royal day out, so credit is due here too.

“From a PR perspective, the strength was in its authenticity. Every engagement felt genuine, with a clear philanthropic thread running through it.

“I’ve always said philanthropy is his safest and strongest space. It plays to his strengths without inviting controversy.”
