With more 5,000 miles between London and California – which is where Harry now resides – it remains unknown whether he will travel back to his home country for the royal funeral next week.
The Duchess of Kent – who was the wife of the late Queen’s cousin, the Duke of Kent – died aged 92 on September 4.
A statement released on Saturday by Buckingham Palace read: “Her Royal Highness’s coffin will be taken by hearse to Westminster Cathedral on September 15 where the Rite of Reception and Vespers will take place, on the eve of the Requiem Mass. Thereafter it will rest overnight in the Lady Chapel.”
The statement also added that “Their Majesties The King and Queen and Members of the Royal Family” will be joining The Duke of Kent and members of The Duchess’s family at the Requiem Mass for The Duchess of Kent.
