Aldi has announced that over 500 of its UK stores now feature InPost Lockers, allowing customers to conveniently collect and return online parcels while they shop. The supermarket chain aims to expand this service to at least 600 stores by the end of the year. Currently already available in 536 stores across England, Scotland, and Wales, the lockers are part of Aldi’s ongoing partnership with InPost, a leading parcel locker provider.
Aldi initially launched InPost lockers in 2023 with a trial at 22 locations. After receiving positive feedback from customers, the retailer expanded the rollout in 2024 and has since rapidly increased the number of stores offering the service.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: “Convenience and efficiency is important to our shoppers, which is why we’re continuing to roll out InPost lockers to as many of our stores as possible.
“It has always been our aim to save our customers time as well as money, so making it easy for people to pick up or return parcels while getting the weekly shop done has been really valuable.”
Neil Kuschel, CEO at InPost UK, added: “Our growing partnership with Aldi reflects a shared commitment to offer the best everyday shopping experience for customers across the UK.
“Together, we’re helping to create a more convenient, cost-effective and sustainable way for shoppers to manage their parcels, making collection and returns as easy and accessible as possible.”
Shoppers interested in using the InPost Lockers can check the availability of the service at their nearest Aldi store before visiting by using the InPost website at inpost.co.uk/lockers.
InPost lockers offer a contactless, quick, and easy way to manage parcels without needing to wait at home for deliveries or visit a post office.
The partnership between Aldi and InPost reflects a growing trend of supermarkets evolving into multi-service hubs, blending traditional grocery shopping with e-commerce conveniences.
InPost lockers are becoming an increasingly popular feature across UK supermarkets. Alongside Aldi, retailers such as Lidl and Co-op have also introduced these parcel lockers, giving customers more convenient options for collecting and returning online orders while shopping in-store.
