James Bond fans are counting down to the imminent PlayStation State of Play event for the upcoming 007 First Light game.
The 007 First Light State of Play event takes place at 7pm BST UK time on the evening of September 3.
The good news is that you can watch the gameplay reveal live right here by clicking play on the YouTube embed below.
According to Sony, the 007 First Light State of Play will feature 30 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming action game.
Specifically, the event will focus on the game’s first main mission, which is said to feature everything from stealth sequences to car chases.
“In this upcoming State of Play, tune in for over 30 minutes of gameplay featuring a playthrough of Bond’s first mission as an MI6 recruit,” Sony explains.
“The action includes everything from high-speed car chases to on-foot stealth sequences and shootouts. Stay tuned after the playthrough for insights from IO Interactive on the intense espionage gameplay.”
While Sony is hosting the State of Play event, 007 First Light is also coming to Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
As you can tell from the State of Play description above, the game explores the early days of James Bond’s MI6 career.
The young James Bond will be far more rash and reckless than the spy we’re used to, which should lead to some interesting narrative twists.
“After a heroic act, young Naval air crewman James Bond is offered to join the newly revived Double 0 program,” reads the official description.
“But when a mission to stop a rogue agent ends in tragedy, he must join forces with his reluctant mentor Greenway to expose a deep conspiracy and stop a looming coup at the heart of the State.”
Fans will find out more about the game when Sony holds its State of Play event on September 3.
