Donald Trump was cruelly mocked by social media users after claiming he “looks extremely good” in shorts. The US President was hosting FIFA head Gianni Infatino at the White House, as the pair announced details of the World Cup draw.
The tournament will be held across the US, Canada and Mexico next summer and will feature 48 nations. Trump jokingly told reporters that he was a very good athlete and “may play” in the competition. He then added: “I may put on shorts, I look extremely good in shorts, and join the play.”
The US President’s comments provoked savage mockery on social media, with many failing to see the funny side.
One wrote: “Trump looks terrible when he’s fully dressed. Can you imagine how he looks in shorts?
While another asked: “There are shorts he can fit in?”
A third fumed: “He’s the laughing stock of the planet. It’s embarrassing.”
