The chef has hailed it as a ‘cheat’s quiche’ because instead of using pastry, all you need to hold the delicious fillings together is a wrap. Not only does this make it quicker to cook, but it slashes the calories too.

He said: “This is such a quick and easy lunch, high in protein and super filling.”

The entire thing has 44g of protein, making it perfect if you’re trying to stay fuller for longer and cut down on snacking. For fillings, he’s used ham, cheese and tomato, but you can use any other leftover veggies you’ve got in the fridge.

In the comments, fans were raving about the recipe, with one person saying: “I made this, they’re lovely! Great for work to prep in advance.”

Here’s everything you need to make it.

Method

Grab your tortilla wrap and add it to a cheesecake tin, pushing it right down so that it’s completely flat. Add the chopped spinach, beaten egg and cottage cheese, and give it a good mix to combine.

Then, add the ham and tomatoes, and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.

Cook in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 200C—the egg should be fully cooked and golden when it comes out. If you haven’t got an air fryer, you can also bake it in the oven for 18 minutes at the same temperature.

Cut into slices and enjoy with a salad on the side.
