Xbox fans can play a selection of Pac-Man games for free this weekend on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
As part of Microsoft’s regular Free Play Days scheme, Xbox Game Pass Core, Standard and Ultimate members can play Pac-Man World Re-Pac, Pac-Man Museum+ and Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs free of charge until end of play on August 24.
With Pac-Man Museum+ containing a whopping 14 classic games, that’s a lot of Pac-Man available to retro gaming fans for free.
Indeed, Pac-Man Museum+ contains the original arcade version of Pac-Man, as well as Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, Pac-Attack, Pac-In-Time, Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-Man Arrangement (PSP), Pac-Man Championship Edition, Pac-Motos, Pac ‘n Roll Remix, Pac-Man Battle Royale and Pac-Man 256.
While it’s a fantastic solo experience, Pac-Man Museum+ also features various multiplayer versions of the popular franchise, making it an ideal pick for family gaming sessions.
Pac-Man World Re-Pac, on the other hand, is a 3D platform game with new and improved visuals and quality of life upgrades.
“Pac-Man to the rescue! Jump into this 3D platforming adventure as Pac-Man sets out to Ghost Island to rescue his kidnapped family from the Pac-imposter, Toc-Man and the Ghosts,” reads the official description.
“With fine-tuned mechanics, updated visuals, and exciting game modes, there’s much more to this remastered classic!”
Finally, Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs is a chaotic 64-player version of the classic series, where the aim is to gobble up everything in sight, including other players.
If you enjoy the free trials and want to continue playing, all three games are currently on sale for a limited time.
Pac-Man Museum+ costs just £7.99, Pac-Man World Re-Pac is down to £8.74, while Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs has been reduced to just £3.99.
This means you can get three amazing Pac-Man titles for around £20, which is incredible value.
The iconic series is estimated to have generated a staggering $14 billion in revenue in the 45 years since the original game appeared in the arcades. For context, that’s even more than GTA 5, which is believed to have made around $9.5 billion in revenue.
