The Galaxy S25 Edge is one of Samsung’s newest phones, having been released a few months ago. The device has a host of new and improved features designed to make life easier for owners, including a ‘beyond-thin’ design, AI features, and 256GB of storage.
Nowadays, a lot of consumers opt to split the price of a mobile across a contract. The newest deal from Mobiles.co.uk includes a huge freebie, as S25 Edge shoppers will get given a laptop for free when they buy the mobile.
When shoppers opt for contracts with a string of selected network providers, including ID Mobile and Vodafone, they will receive a free Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go. The free gift applies to 24-month contracts at different price points, and upfront costs apply. Samsung states the freebie is only available until October 2, 2025, and has to be claimed on their site.
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go was released in 2021. It has a 14-inch screen, a 12-hour runtime, and WiFi 6 technology, which promises ultra-fast speeds. Other highlights include its sleek and lightweight design, making it easy to take to work, school, or university.
Consumers interested in getting the free Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go as part of their Galaxy S25 Edge contract deal can find prices starting at around £30 a month. The cheapest contract available with ID Mobile costs £29.99 a month and £129 upfront.
From April 1, 2026, the price of the contract increases to £31.49, and the following April, it goes up to £32.99. Contract perks include 5GB of data, unlimited texts and minutes and data in 50 overseas destinations – as well as the free Chromebook.
Meanwhile, Vodafone’s cheapest 24-month contract is £33 a month. There is an upfront cost of £160. On April 1, 2026, the contract price increases to £34.80, and the following April, it goes up to £36.60.
The contract offer also includes 5GB of data and unlimited minutes and calls, as well as a free three-month trial to Secure Net, and weekly offers and discounts when users download Vodafone’s VeryMe app – as well as the free Chromebook.
There are other standout deals worth highlighting. For instance, shoppers who prefer buying a phone outright can save £350 on Google’s Pixel 9 at Amazon. Originally £999, it’s on sale for £649. The offer has been rolled out ahead of Google’s Pixel 10 launch, which will take place at the tech giant’s Made By Good event on August 20.
Meanwhile, EE has reduced the price of a string of contract deals for the iPhone Pro 16. The cheapest 24-month contract is now £31 per month instead of £37, and includes unlimited data, texts and minutes.
Earlier this year, The Express’s Deputy Technology Editor, Henry Burell, got his hands on the S25 Edge before its general release. In his review, he said: “It is thin! Samsung has delivered on the promise of a much narrower phone. The Edge’s body is just 5.8mm thick – that’s slimmer than the regular S25’s 7.2mm, the S25 Plus’s 7.3mm and the S25 Ultra’s 8.2mm.”
He also noted some downsides, continuing: “But with a large QHD 6.7-inch display, very similar to the one on the S25 Plus, the S25 Edge is a little hard to hold in one hand. Though it’s amazing Samsung has crammed all the componentry into the shrunken body, one thing it can’t slim down is the cameras.”
Prospective buyers new to mobiles.co.uk can find reviews and ratings of its service on Trustpilot, where there are more than 17,000 customer comments. One consumer said: “Good price, easy ordering process, and a swift delivery.”
Another person wrote: “A fantastic deal for an upgrade of my Vodafone SIM only 12-month contract. A much better price than the same bundle from any other provider, with the added benefit of being simple to understand and claim cashback. The order process is simple, and communications are clear. Why buy anywhere else?”
However, a string of users reported issues with the select-delivery-date option, as one person explained: “Ordered for the phone to be delivered on a Monday, but it turned up on Sunday morning. Luckily, I was at home in the morning.”
A fourth buyer said: “Quick and easy placement for the order. Along with the next day delivery – well impressed.”
A final shopper concluded: “Having had issues with my previous company, I decided to try mobiles.co.uk. So far, they have been quick on delivery and beat the price of everyone else. So far, I have had no issues.”
