PS Plus Extra and Premium August 2025 games reveal time, date and predictions

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the new games for August 2025.

The next wave of PS Plus Extra and Premium titles will be officially unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of August 13. The PS4 and PS5 games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on August 19.

Sony will have a tough time besting the July games, which were headlined by Cyberpunk 2077. That’s on top of the day-one release of Abiotic Factor, which is a critically-acclaimed survival crafting game.

In the run up to the PS Plus Extra and Premium reveal, fans have been attempting to predict the line-up over on Reddit.

The game that keeps cropping up is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, especially since appearing on Xbox Game Pass.

Likewise, Atomic Heart continues to receive lots of predictions, alongside the likes of Hades, EA FC 25, Mortal Kombat 1 and Rise of the Ronin.

A few first-party Sony games also make the list, including Gran Turismo 7, The Last of Us Part 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and LEGO Horizon Adventure.

Star Wars Outlaws is also picking up steam, and makes sense when you look at some of the games leaving PS Plus in August.

Indeed, multiple games will be leaving the service on August 19, including heavy-hitters like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Other games leaving include Wild Hearts, RIDE 5, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, Sword Art Online: Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker.

That’s on top of Vacation Simulator and PS5 launch title Bugsnax, which is worth playing if you haven’t already.

There’s also some confusion about EA Sports UFC 5 and Top Spin 2K25, the latter of which appears to be leaving certain regions, but not all.
