United might have to wait until next summer to sign Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, according to ESPN.
He is reportedly willing to stay at the Amex Stadium for another season, with a move considered more likely in a year’s time.
Brighton have reportedly set an asking price of £104m and would prefer not to lose Baleba this summer.
His former club Lille would be entitled to receive 20 per cent of any transfer fee.
