GB News presenter Ben Leo was told to “f*** off” in a frosty encounter when he attended the Epping Stand Up to Racism migrant hotel protest. The journalist showed footage from inside the pen as he attempted to interview protestors, with several people telling him that he was “not welcome here” and was encouraged to leave. During one encounter, a demonstrator yelled at Ben: “Get the f*** out of here!” whilst another protestor told him: “Off you go. You’re not welcome here.” As Ben tried to get comments from protestors, he said: “That’s not very nice, you don’t need to be so angry.” Another person simply told him to “f*** off.”

Ben shared the footage on social media, adding the caption: “What’s it like for press inside the Stand up to Racism pen at the Epping migrant hotel protest?”

Many of his followers reacted in the comments section to the video, with one person typing: “Why won’t they ever talk, answer questions, and always hide their face?? Is the the the actions of someone trustworthy??”

A second also commented: “Nice one Ben. These folk can do one thing only, which is to scream and shout abuse.” A third also chimed in: “What are they scared of? Showing themselves up for what they are? Well they’re doing a good job of that.”

A fourth also said online: “LOL. These people are always the same, rude, aggressive and completely dismissive of anyone not like them. Their demands are utterly mental.”

The video is from protesters demonstrating in the Stand Up to Racism pen last month, where demonstrators marched in Epping to oppose racism and violence towards refugees at The Bell Hotel.

Many individuals were carrying posters, banners, and placards with messages such as “Tear down the borders” and “The Far Right are not welcome in Epping.”

Around 2,000 protestors initiated a protest and were called in response to fascist ‘Tommy Robinson’s call to join ‘thousands of patriots’ on Sunday, 27 July. Meanwhile, between 300 and 400 anti-migrant protesters showed up as well, singing along to patriotic music, such as Rule, Britannia!.
