Prince Harry and Meghan Markle blasted over making headlines for ‘all the wrong reasons’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been blasted by a TV host over making headlines for “all the wrong reasons”. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have come back into the spotlight again this week after it emerged that their lucrative deal with Netflix, reported to be worth around £78 million, will not be renewed and will end this September.

It comes after the couple made headlines again earlier this month when their aides were spotted having a secret meeting with those of the King in London. Several royal watchers questioned how details were leaked to the press. The Sussex camp have denied leaking information about what’s been dubbed the secret “peace talks” between the two sides.

Now, a royal commentator has criticised the couple and claimed it’s always been big news when it comes to Harry and Meghan; however, it’s not necessarily good publicity.

Sky News Australia host Freya Leach said on the Late Debate programme: “Harry and Meghan are certainly making headlines, but for all the wrong reasons.

“They’ve got their [£78] million Netflix deal that won’t be renewed, they’ve been cut from their [£15]million Spotify deal.”

“So are serious questions now about how they’re going to fund this lavish lifestyle.”

Meanwhile, this week it also emerged that the Duke has reportedly offered to share his official schedule with the royal in a bid to ease tension and avoid overshadowing key events.

Regarding the recent “olive branch”, Ms Leach was again critical of the couple and suggested the move came just as it was revealed the Sussexes won’t be having another income from Netflix due to their contract ending.

She added: “So, I think this is more of a case of crawling back to mummy and daddy when things don’t go so well.”
