UK’s youngest DJ duo Half Punk perform sold-out gig at Ibiza resort | Europe | Travel

The UK’s youngest DJ duo, aged merely 10 and 12 years old, have performed a sold-out gig at a resort in a renowned party hotspot. DJ Steady and DJ Yaya, collectively known as Half Punk, hail from Milton Keynes in the UK and have traded their school desks for DJ decks to entertain crowds in Ibiza, joining the likes of David Guetta, Carl Cox and Solomun.

The trailblazing pair headlined the TUI Holiday Villages Seaview’s Ibiza Family Opening Weekender on Saturday, 26th July. Their stage name and performance paid homage to music legends  Daft Punk, whose hit song ‘One More Time’ recently marked its 25-year anniversary. The duo even wore replicas of the artists’ iconic high-tech helmets.

They were accompanied on stage by Yaya’s younger brother, MC Mari, real name Marley, who introduced them to the audience.

The set list was packed with the top 20 club anthems voted for by the nation. Topping the poll was the 1992 hit Rhythm is a Dancer by SNAP! which was on 28 per cent of voters’ lists. This was closely followed by ABBA’s Dancing Queen from 1976 – voted for by 27 per cent.

Beyond rocking the resort, the young DJs also aimed to shake up the industry by encouraging more girls to take to the turntables.

Despite progress in recent years, only a fifth of DJs booked for the 2025 Ibiza party season are women.

Half Punk’s international debut challenged gender bias and celebrated the resort’s new entertainment programme, which promotes ‘family raving’.

This follows research by TUI, which found that demand is surging for daytime clubbing events and family raves – with searches for these increasing by an impressive 53 per cent since.

What an incredible way to celebrate the start of the school summer holidays and a new season of brilliant entertainment at Holiday Villages” said Natalie Johnson, Concept and Proposition Manager at TUI Holiday Villages.

“Half Punk were out of this world, and to say the crowd went wild is an understatement,” she added.

“We’re really proud to showcase this talented pair of young DJs who we know have such bright futures ahead of them – and our MC was the ultimate hype man.

“It’s certainly a night none of us will forget.”
