England will soon bake under a 31C wall of heat, days after parts of the country were drenched in rain and thunderstorms. Sun-loving Brits will be pleased to hear that the country will once again sizzle and heatwave conditions will return after a period of unsettled weather.

WXCHARTS weather maps have turned crimson indicating that millions will soon bask in balmy weather and boiling conditions will once again make an appearance. The mercury is set to soar on Tuesday, August 5, with temperatures to reach a balmy 31C at 6pm. WXCHARTS show that large swathes of southern and central England could experience a significant temperature spike.

The south west and south east are on track to record the hottest temperatures in the country.

Key cities including Southampton, Bournemouth, Bath and Bristol will all see high temperatures reach a baking 31C. Meanwhile, Dorset, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire will be a degree lower and record highs of 30C.

London, Surrey and Kent will not be far behind with the mercury predicted to hit 29C. The east and west midlands are expected to see temperatures hit 28C.

Parts of Wales will also see balmy conditions, in particular south Wales with major cities including Swansea and Cardiff likely to hit 27C. Those in Cornwall and Devon are forecast to see the mercury hover between 26C-27C.

The balmy weather for millions will not end there. At 6pm on Wednesday, August 6, the mercury will hover at 29C for those in the south west and west Midlands.

The rest of southern England will see temperatures reach between 26C-28C. Elsewhere, Yorkshire and the Humber is likely to see the mercury hit 25C.

Weather maps for August 7 have turned a volcanic red with the east of England, west midlands, London, the south east and south west all likely to bask in 30 plus temperatures.

South Wales and the east Midlands will see the mercury near 30C, with 28C predicted.

Separately, the Met Office says in their weather outlook for this period that “during early August, high pressure may start to have greater influence as it builds northeast across the country. This bringing more prolonged settled spells to many areas. Breeziest conditions across the north of the country. Temperatures generally near average though with some warmer spells likely.”
