She revealed: “You keep sausages from bursting in an air fryer by pricking them with a fork or sharp knife first. This helps to release the pressure as they cook and expand.
“If you don’t prick your sausages, they may burst and stick to the bottom or sides of your air fryer,” she added. She also recommends wiping your sausages down with a bit of oil, along with pricking them.
Home cooks can also put foil in the bottom of their air fryers to stop the juices from the sausages sticking to the bottom, making it easy to clean your air fryer after.
Cooking times for air fryer sausages vary depending on the size and thickness of your sausages and the power of your air fryer. Typically, they will take around 15 minutes but might need longer if they are exceptionally thick.
If your sausages are frozen, you should add extra time to allow them to cook.
