Greggs’ popular breakfast deal is about to get a even better and major supermarkets may feel a hit.
The early morning meal deal has often been a sandwich and drink combo for a long time – but fans are now able to add on something else to round off their first meal of the day. The elevated option will be finding its way into selected Greggs stores from today (July 25).
In the latest menu shake-up, Greggs has confirmed that customers now have an extra item to consider when grabbing their breakfast to go. Partnering up with the original offer, people can now “seriously upgrade” their meal, according to Greggs.
A spokesperson said: “In addition to the well-known and much-loved Breakfast Roll Deal and Breakfast Baguette Deal (featuring a tasty breakfast roll or baguette with a Fairtrade hot drink, OJ, or water), customers now have the option to add a side as Greggs has launched a three-part breakfast deal for the first time ever.
“The new deal gives customers the chance to add a delicious side of either a fresh fruit pot, creamy yoghurt or golden hash browns to their signature roll or baguette deal from just £3.95 for a roll or £5.10 for a baguette deal.”
Greggs is now offering hash browns in packs of two. The beloved bakery chain also offers two varieties of fruit pots – melon and grape or strawberry and apple.
A third side option features a rich Greek-style yoghurt layered over a sweet strawberry compote.
This announcement comes as part of Greggs’ summer menu overhaul, which includes a variety of new sandwiches. Among these is the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread, packed with spicy chicken, chipotle chilli sauce, fresh salad leaves, mixed peppers, and spicy mayonnaise, making it a tasty and convenient choice for a quick lunch.
Another addition to the menu is the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Oval Bite. This sandwich is filled with slices of spicy chicken breast, pineapple chilli sauce, sliced mild Cheddar chilli cheese, crispy onions, spicy mayo and mixed leaves, all served in a seeded roll.
Also on offer, either hot or cold, is the Chipotle Chicken Baguette. This sandwich is loaded with spicy chicken breast, Cheddar cheese with chilli, sliced red onion, fiery jalapeños and a generous helping of chipotle chilli sauce and spicy mayo.
Starting today, this deal is available nationwide in selected Greggs stores. The new breakfast deal can also be accessed via Click and Collect on the free Greggs App, which offers a range of delicious rewards.
New users of the Greggs App also receive a complimentary hot drink of their choice upon registration, as well as a free sweet treat to celebrate their birthday each year. It can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
