A man tried to grab a teenage girl and lure her into his car in a village in the UK. Police have launched an urgent investigation following the reported incident at 9.45pm on Sunday evening (July 20).
The girl was walking her dog in Silverstone, Northamptonshire, when a car slowed down beside her. The occupants shouted at the victim before a man got out of the car and grabbed her arm. Police said he then told the girl to get in the car, but she was able to pull away and flee.
An unknown man also intervened and pushed away the suspect who left in the car which police believe was a red Volkswagen. The suspect is described by officers as a black man in a black hoodie, with the hood up.
The reported incident took place in Towcester Road, at the junction with Whittlebury Road, and investigating officers are now appealing for witnesses. They are urging anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
