Manchester United are ‘very close’ to reaching an agreement with Sporting over the transfer of Viktor Gyokeres, according to SIC Noticias.
The Swede was thought to be bound for Arsenal after the Gunners’ £63.7million offer was accepted by Sporting.
But United are reportedly willing to put a similar figure on the table in an attempt to hijack the deal.
If they also reach an agreement, it will be down to Gyokeres to make the final decision.
And Fabrizio Romano claims that he would still favour a move to the Emirates.
