The one tip for making delicious roasties that keeps them crispy but makes them healthier

Making the perfect roasties isn’t always easy, but with this simple trick, you can ensure they’ll be delicious, crispy, and even healthier than if you cook them in the oven. There’s one way you can make your roasties that will make them have a lower fat content than they usually would, but you won’t be missing out on flavour.

Roasties are a key part of a good dinner and they’re perfect to add to a huge range of meals, whether it’s summer or winter. You can eat them on a Sunday dinner or with fish and vegetables for a lighter meal in warmer weather. Making delicious roasties is easier than you think and there’s one simple method to follow to achieve perfect potatoes.

Airfry Foods says: “An air fryer uses hot air circulation to cook food, significantly reducing the amount of oil needed compared to traditional frying methods.

“This means you can enjoy crispy roasted potatoes with much lower fat content.”

You should first clean your potatoes by running them under cold water. Next, cut them into uniform pieces, which will allow even cooking.

After this, preheat your air fryer to ensure that the potatoes begin cooking at the right temperature for optimal crispiness.

Set your air fryer to 400F (200C) and preheat for about five minutes.

Next you’ll want to season the potatoes and this really depends on your personal taste.

You may want to use olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder or fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme.

Place your potatoes into the air fryer and cook for around 15 to 20 minutes.

Air Fry Foods says: “To achieve even crispiness, shake the basket or toss the potatoes halfway through cooking. This ensures that every side gets a chance to crisp up.”

You should cook them until they are tender on the inside and golden brown on the outside.

By following this recipe, you won’t need to use any fat which is often a common item added to potatoes when people roast them in the oven.

This easy air fryer method is tasty and healthy – you won’t need to add any fat for this recipe.

These delicious potatoes are a perfect component of your meal, and once you try this method, you might not go back to making them any other way.
