Unlike in the US, there is a lot of choice in the UK when it comes to buying a new Android phone. From Samsung to OnePlus via Xiaomi and Motorola, you have a lot of options at several price points.
Google, the maker of Android, also has its own Pixel line up to consider, and right now Amazon has heavily discounted the latest Pixel 9 series to some of its most affordable prices ever.
Right now, you can get the Google Pixel 9 with 128GB storage for £549, a £150 discount on the £799 RRP. If you buy the Obsidian (black) model, it comes with a free 45W charger – the Pixel 9 only comes with a USB-C cable in the nox otherwise.
You can also buy the Porcelain (white) model for the same price, but it oddly does not come with the free charger.
The Pixel 9 is relatively compact considering the size of most phones in 2025, with a 6.3-inch OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution, plus dual cameras with a 50MP main sensor, the Google Tensor G4 chipset and seven years of Android software updates to 2031.
If you prefer a bump up in specs, the Pixel 9 Pro is also on sale for £679, down from £999, a massive £320 discount. This phone is the same size as the Pixel 9 but has a higher resolution screen, triple cameras including a very capable 5x optical zoom lens, and a more premium build with glossy metal sides rather than the matt finish on the regular Pixel 9.

Both these offers don’t require you to have an Amazon Prime subscription, unlike for Prime Day sales, so you can take advantage of the discounts immediately. It’s not clear how long these sale prices will last, as Amazon never usually states when deals will end.
Despite these eye-catching Pixel 9 deals, a word of warning. Google has just announced its next Made by Google event, where it will unveil the Pixel 10 series of phones set to replace the Pixel 9 line up.
The launch event takes place at 6pm UK time on August 20, after which point the Pixel 9 will no longer be the latest and greatest. If this matters to you, you might want to wait until August to see if you’re tempted by what the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro have to offer.
But according to leaks, the phones are unlikely to update the design and features all that much, meaning these current deals on the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro could be quite tempting. Google phones also tend to run out of stock once they are superseded, so this could be one of your last chances to get them at such low prices.
