PS5 and Steam users can take advantage of a fantastic deal on one of the best games based on a movie franchise.
Robocop Rogue City is a first-person action game set between Robocop 2 and Robocop 3.
While the game only has a 72% score on Metacritic, it has been much better received by fans, earning ‘Very Positive’ feedback on Steam with a score of 86%. I would definitely lean towards the latter, having really enjoyed the hard-hitting gunplay and gritty atmosphere.
If you haven’t had a chance to play the game before, then Robocop Rogue City is currently available for less than a tenner on both PS5 and Steam.
As part of the PlayStation Store Summer Sale, the PS5 version of Robocop Rogue City is reduced to just £7.49. That’s a saving of 85%.
The PS5 discount is available until July 30, at which point it will return to its normal price of £49.99.
Over on Steam, Robocop Rogue City is even cheaper, costing just £4.49 until July 21. That’s an incredible deal on one of the best shooters of the past couple of years.
The discount is available just in time for the release of the game’s Unfinished Business DLC.
Robocop Rogue City’s Unfinished Business expansion is priced at £24.99 on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam.
The DLC sees Robocop tackle a criminal gang that have taken over a tower building in Detroit.
“Following RoboCop’s decisive victory over Detroit’s gangs, a new chapter unfolds in this standalone extension set after the events of RoboCop: Rogue City,” reads the official description.
“The New Guy in Town has been defeated, but the streets are still riddled with crime. A spark of hope comes from OCP’s latest project: OmniTower – a massive housing complex designed specifically to provide for the needs of the residents of Old Detroit.
“But when a group of highly trained mercenaries armed with cutting-edge weapons takes control of the building and turns it into their deadly fortress, RoboCop must take action to put a stop to their plans and uphold the law.”
If you’re an Xbox user, then the good news is that Robocop Rogue City is about to join Xbox Game Pass.
Robocop Rogue City joins a typically strong Xbox Game Pass line-up on July 17.
Robocop Rogue City will be joined by My Friendly Neighbourhood on the same day, followed by prison escape RPG Back to the Dawn on July 18.
Things really pick up on July 22, when Abiotic Factor comes to Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release.
Other games coming to Game Pass in July include Wheel World, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Grounded 2 and Farming Simulator 25.
