Jeremy Clarkson’s farm has become a hotspot for fans following the success of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime, with many fans making the trek to visit Diddly Squat and its farm shop. One dedicated British expat even journeyed all the way from Spain just to visit the iconic farm.
Harry Poulton, who has relocated from Brighton to Benidorm, was eager to see the farm but ended up “hating” the UK after his journey turned into a disaster.
The 24-year-old, who gave up life in the UK as he found it “depressing and gloomy”, faced one of the very reasons he despises his native country during his trip: the notorious traffic.
In a TikTok video posted last night (3 July), Harry vented his frustration about his travel woes. He lamented: “I have driven all the way from Benidorm, Spain, to try and get to Jeremy Clarkson’s farm. We were driving up from London to the farm, but no, I couldn’t do that because the bloody M25 was basically closed.
“I was sat in my car for hours on end, not moving anywhere.”
His plans were thwarted by a severe traffic jam on the M25 caused by an HGV crash at Dartford Crossing, resulting in a fuel spill and a woman being hospitalised with minor injuries.
Harry vented his frustration, saying: “If that was in Spain, they would have had that wham bam thank you ma’am, cleared and cleaned, within an hour. Now, I’m not being insensitive or anything – I know what happened was probably quite bad.”
He continued: “I don’t know exactly why it was closed, but it was an accident of some format – something about fuel spillage.
“Either way, not good, but what the hell? It’s been closed all day and it’s still closed now.”
Growing increasingly irritated, he remarked: “Why do we literally revolve [around] one bridge?”.
“If that bridge is closed, you literally have to drive like two-and-a-half hours around London to get to the other side of the bridge. It just annoys me.”
Harry wrapped up by stating that the traffic ordeal “ruined the whole trip”, adding: “England’s annoying sometimes.”
