Sweltering 35C weather is on its way to scorch England as the latest weather maps show the date when the blistering heat will blast the country. WXCharts maps have turned a volcanic red indicating that the country is set sizzle in the sweltering weather.

The next heatwave is estimated to smash into England on Friday July 18 with the mercury to soar to a boiling 35C. If this rings true it will be the second time England has seen highs reach around the 35C mark. A high of 34.7C was recorded in St James’s Park in central London on Tuesday afternoon by the Met Office, beating the previous warmest day of the year on June 21, where a blistering 33.2C was logged in Charlwood, Surrey.

Kent is on track to receive the brunt of the baking weather with London, Surrey, Bournemouth and Cambridge all following closely behind. By 12pm parts of Kent will already see temperatures climb to boiling 33C whilst London is predicted 31C.

Meanwhile the east of England will see highs of a balmy 30C.

As we go throughout the day the mercury is only predicted to soar further as by 6pm large parts of the South East will be covered by a wall of 35C heat.

London and Surrey are predicted to have highs of 33C. Also likely to see 33C is the east of England.

Elsewhere a flurry of key cities in the southwest including Bristol and Bath will see thermometers tick over 30C with highs of 31C estimated.

Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry will not miss out on the baking weather with weather maps predicting temperatures to hit 31C.

The rest of the country is likely to mess out on the latest heat blast with Plymouth and Newcastle estimated to reach 23C, the rest of England will see the mercury hover between 19C-21C.

Separately, the Met Office’s weather outlook for this period states that, there will be “changeable conditions with a predominantly northwest to southeast split in temperature and rainfall”.

The forecaster added that “temperatures are likely to be above average, with the greatest chance of very warm or hot spells in the south or southeast”.
