PS Plus July 2025 free PS4 and PS5 games reveal date, time and predictions

Sony is about to reveal the new batch of PlayStation Plus Essentials games. Consisting of three PS4 and PS5 games, the July 2025 PS Plus Essentials will be officially revealed at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of June 25. The games will be available to download and play on July 1.

This means you have plenty of time to redeem the current batch of PlayStation Plus games, which include NBA 2K25, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Alone in the Dark. As an added bonus, Destiny 2 expansion The Final Shape is also available on PS Plus.

After some mixed months for new releases, the June games were a definite step up in quality. Fans will be hoping for a similar selection of high-profile games in July.

Indeed, according to the latest PS Plus predictions, many subscribers believe Sony will add another annual sports game to PS Plus in July.

EA FC 25 is one of the favourites to join the service on July 1, especially now that the football season has come to an end. EA Sports also recently released the Season Finale update, as it turns its attention to the next game in the series.

A PS Plus release for EA FC 25 would boost the game and help EA sell more Ultimate Team packs.

Another game with many predictions is the survival horror game Resident Evil Village. With Resident Evil Requiem launching next February, fans believe Capcom will generate more interest by making the previous Resident Evil game free with PS Plus.

Likewise, Resident Evil 4 Remake also has one or two picks in the monthly predictions thread over on Reddit.

If the Resident Evil games don’t make an appearance on PS Plus, then you can get caught up with the story by visiting Argos and taking advantage of some great discounts on some of the previous games in the series.

Needless to say, the usual suspects of Atomic Heart, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Jusant also receive lots of predictions.

That’s on top of Rise of the Ronin, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Lords of the Fallen, Terminator Resistance, Nier Automata, Gollum, and Persona 3 Reloaded.
