Get Resident Evil Requiem ready with Argos deal that's a must for horror fans

Capcom’s newly announced survival horror game Resident Evil Requiem arguably stole the show during the recent Summer Game Fest event, where it made a not-so-surprising appearance at the end of the broadcast. With the game launching on February 27, 2026, survival horror fans have plenty of time to get caught up on the story and see where it all began.

Indeed, if you need a bit of a Resident Evil refresher, then you should hurry to Argos, where you’ll find many of the older Resi games available as part of a ‘2 for £25’ discount deal. The popular discount deal includes PS5 versions of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Customers can mix and match the games, choosing any combination of two Resident Evil releases from the list above.

If you’ve never played a Resident Evil game before, then the Resident Evil 2 and 4 remakes are the pick of the bunch, although Resident Evil 3 has a lot of fans thanks to its relentless Nemesis monster.

Elsewhere, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is directed by Koshi Nakanishi, who is also at the helm for next year’s Resident Evil Requiem.

Biohazard is one of the most unique and interesting games in the series, and is worth checking out if you can afford it.

The deal is proving incredibly popular at Argos, with dozens of games selling every day.

Argos offers same day click and collect, which means you can start playing the games tonight if you order before the shops close.

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the Resident Evil series, excluding spinoffs.

The game once again takes place in Raccoon City, where FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft is sent to investigate “strange deaths”.

Capcom explains more: “A new era of survival horror begins in 2026. Technological advancements combined with the development team’s depth of experience combine in a story with rich characters and gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.”

The game will also feature third-person and first-person action, letting players switch between perspectives at any time. Fingers crossed we also get a PSVR 2 port.

Other rumours have suggested Resident Evil Requiem will utilise an open-world setting.
