Peter Phillips’ girlfriend Harriet Sperling has stolen the spotlight at Royal Ascot after she was snapped publicly curtsying to King Charles and Queen Camilla. The paediatric specialist nurse and freelance writer appeared to be in her element as she mingled with other members of the Royal Family during Day Three, Ladies’ Day, of the five-day meet in Berkshire.
Harriet looked stunning in the colour of the season as she donned a butter yellow dress, which she paired with a colour-matching fascinator, a white clutch and light beige heels. She was seen curtsying as the King and Queen’s carriage was entering the racecourse. She was also seen being close with Peter’s family, as she was snapped kissing the Princess Royal on the cheek, chatting to the King and Queen as well as catching up with Zara Tindall and Princess Beatrice.
Peter, Princess Anne’s son, debuted his new girlfriend last May during the Badminton Horse Trials.
Since then, they’ve made a number of appearances alongside the royals.
It is unclear when and where the couple first met.
Harriet’s debut came just four weeks after Peter announced his split from his then-girlfriend of three years, Lindsay Wallace.
The King’s nephew initially met Lindsay, who was a friend of Zara’s at Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland.
But they reconnected years later during a 2019 reunion, with the couple starting dating in 2021.
Their split was described as “amicable” with one source claiming the relationship had “run its course”.
Peter already has two daughters, Savannah, 14 and Isla, 12, with ex-wife Autumn Kelly, whom he married in 2008. The pair split in 2019 and finalised their divorced in 2021.
