Omaze has launched its next house draw, with a £4 million property in Cheshire’s “Golden Triangle” – described as one of the country’s “most exclusive and desirable” residential areas – up for grabs, along with £250,000. One lucky person is guaranteed to win the huge prize, which is located in the same area thought to be home to Wayne Rooney. Fellow England and Manchester United star Sir David Beckham and his wife Victoria also lived in the prestigious neighbourhood, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand, Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy.
The four-bedroom home features panoramic views across the Cheshire Plain and sits within the Alderley Edge Conservation Area. Nearby are the affluent villages of Wilmslow and Prestbury. The “Beverly Hills of the North” is also famed for its secluded lanes, top schools, boutique shopping outlets and acclaimed restaurants. The house comes mortgage-free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered, as its new owner decides whether to live in it, rent it out for a supplementary income, or sell it whenever they wish to become a cash multi-millionaire.
Omaze says £250,000 would enable the winner to run the property “for many years”, as it also comes with £165,000 worth of furnishings, ready for the winner to enjoy the day they get the keys.
If the winner decides to rent it out, local estate agents estimate that the property could achieve a long-term rental value of between £18,000 to £20,000 per month.
The property’s layout includes a huge, double-height living room with a floor-to-ceiling glazed wall. A wraparound, south-facing terrace connects directly to the landscaped gardens below.
On the first floor, a custom-built kitchen includes a range of high-end Miele appliances and opens onto the main entertaining level.
The ground floor has on it a full “leisure suite”, featuring an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym with dedicated changing facilities.
There’s also a walk-in wine store, as well as a fourth bedroom with an additional shower room.
On the second floor, meanwhile, there is a principal bedroom suite, complete with en suite bathroom and large dressing room overlooking the garden, alongside two further en-suite bedrooms.
In addition, the home is fitted with state-of-the-art features, such as underfloor central heating, air conditioning, full home lighting control and integrated sound speakers.
All bedrooms include built-in wardrobes, with feature oak pivot and sliding doors used throughout.
Outside, the Cheshire red sandstone home sits on more than half an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, featuring terraced lawns, herbaceous borders. A path leads to a standalone home office in a secluded corner of the garden.
Stem cell charity Anthony Nolan is partnering with Omaze for this competition.
Patron and Oscar-winning actor, Olivia Colman CBE, said: “Anthony Nolan is a charity close to my heart – it found a stem cell donor for one of my close friends, Pip.
“When a stem cell transplant can save a life, every second counts. By entering the Omaze Cheshire House draw, you’ll help Anthony Nolan ensure life-saving stem cells can reach patients when they need them.
“Sadly, my friend Pip didn’t make it, but she was given more time.
“With your support, you can help us save lives through stem cells, giving more people, like Pip, extra time with their loved ones.”
