The eldest son of Iran’s former Shah has called on his fellow citizens to rise up in revolution and overthrow the brutal Islamic regime of Ali Khamenei. Reza Pahlavi made his appeal in a video posted to his X social media channel, which has already racked up more than five million views.
He is the eldest son of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was himself toppled by the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The former Crown Prince claimed Iran’s leadership had lost control and the regime’s days were numbered. In an emotional appeal, he urged Iranians not to fear change and to reclaim their country.
“The Islamic Republic has reached its end and is in the process of collapsing,” he said.
“Khamenei, like a frightened rat, has gone into hiding underground and has lost control of the situation. What has begun is irreversible.
“The end of the Islamic Republic is the end of its 46-year war against the Iranian nation.
“The regime’s apparatus of repression is falling apart. All it takes now is a nationwide uprising to put an end to this nightmare once and for all.
“Now is the time to rise; the time to reclaim Iran. Let us all come forward—from Bandar Abbas to Bandar Anzali, from Shiraz to Isfahan, from Tabriz to Zahedan, from Mashhad to Ahvaz, from Shahr-e Kord to Kermanshah—and bring about the end of this regime.”
Pahlavi said regime change would not lead to civil war and instability and that the country could look forward to a bright future once freed from the shackles of religious tyranny.
He claimed members of Iran’s security services had already contacted him and urged them not to stand in the way of change.
His appeal comes as Donald Trump demanded the “unconditional surrender” of Iran’s mullah regime.
In a post to his Truth Social website, the US President said his patience was wearing thin and then thundered: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
Trump said the US knew where Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was hiding and could have him killed if they chose to do so.
Iran’s Supreme Leader responded defiantly, saying Tehran would “never compromise with Zionists” and that “the battle begins”.
