Xbox Game Pass will lose at least five games next week, including one title that joined the service just a few months ago. While Microsoft is yet to make an official announcement, the ‘Leaving Soon’ section was updated, leaving some fans confused about one title in particular.
The subscription service recently bid farewell to the likes of Return to Monkey Island, Metal Slug Tactics, and Jusant. Fortunately, there are a number of exciting new additions in November, most notably Call of Duty Black Ops 7 and Football Manager 26 — check out our review of FM26 here.
However, it’s not all good news because a selection of games are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on November 11. This includes Football Manager 2024, Frostpunk, Spirittea, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and perhaps surprisingly, Blacksmith Master.
Blacksmith Master comes as a bit of a surprise, because it was only added on August 19!
Given it was a day one release when it first arrived on the service, many fans believe it may have been removed in error. Indeed, indie titles and console exclusives typically remain on the service for at least a year.
Such a short spell is commonly associated with various 2K titles, most recently Borderlands 3.
Historically, however, the ‘Leaving Soon’ section on Xbox Game Pass has not always been the most reliable indicator of what’s leaving due to incomplete listings or occasional inaccuracies.
Final confirmation on Blacksmith Master’s status – as well as the other four games currently on the list – will be announced by Microsoft around November 4.
Upcoming smash-hit arrivals include the soon-to-be released Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is scheduled to launch on November 14.
That’s on top of the aforementioned Football Manager 26, which joins Xbox Game Pass on November 4.
