January is a popular time to book trips abroad, and if you’re lucky enough to hunt down some bargain flights, then it’s likely you’ve booked with one of the budget airlines like Ryanair, easyJet or Jet2. The only downside with these airlines is the strict luggage allowance, and while there’s no way around it without paying costly fees, there are ways to maximise the allowance you do have.
To fit as much as you can in, a practical and spacious bag is essential, but each airline’s allowance is slightly different, so the most cost-effective option is to get a bag that fits all three.
The 18L PVC Coated Waterproof Cabin Backpack Travel Bag is reduced from 33.92 to £17.99, but when combined with a TopCashback deal, you can get it for just £2.09.
TopCashback is offering a free £15 sign-up bonus to new members, plus 6% cashback. The offer means you’ll get £15.90 back in your account, ready to be sent to your bank or PayPal account.
A practical alternative to a suitcase, the 18L PVC Coated Waterproof Cabin Backpack Travel Bag can also double up as a day bag for taking around on a city break or day trip while you’re away.
The bag measures 24cm x 20cm x 39cm, meaning it fits on most budget airline flights, including EasyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair, and the design is well-thought-out with water-resistant material, a main compartment for clothes and other larger items, plus a front pocket for smaller bits and bobs that you may want to access while travelling. Plus the straps and back panel have extra padding for comfortable wear.
Airline baggage allowance:
- Jet2: 56cm x 45cm x 25cm
- easyJet: 45 x 36 x 20cm
- Ryanair: 40 x 20 x 25cm
