MAMMA Mia! Here We Go Again began filming last year and is set to be released in the UK cinemas next month.

The original Mamma Mia! film was released a full decade before the upcoming second instalment.
So, those who were anything but true fans of the movie could be forgiven for forgetting who appeared in the first flick.

Who plays Young Donna in Mamma Mia 2
The actress who plays a Young Donna in the upcoming film is Lily James.
She was actually born Lily Thomson but she changed her name as a tribute to her late father James after he died from cancer in 2008.

Lily was rumoured to be engaged to her actor boyfriend Matt Smith after she wore a wedding dress to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials last month, prompting many fans to ask if she too was set to walk down the aisle.
One person tweeted: “Omg Lily James and Matt Smith my favourite couple to ever exist are engaged I’m so beyond happy for them!!!”
Another person wrote: “Omg Lily James has a giant diamond ring is she ENGAGED TO MATT SMITH TELL ME!”
What songs will be on the Mamma Mia 2 soundtrack?
Picture house Universal has promised there will be some new songs that didn’t feature in the original film but “some old classics” will also make a comeback for fans to enjoy.
Original ABBA members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus offered to provide music and lyrics.
And Benny spoke out during a BBC Radio 5 Live interview to confirm what some of them are, or have appeared in one of the already-released trailers:

When will the film be out in the UK?
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is released in UK cinemas on July 20, 2018.
In Mid-December 2017, the production team announced they had wrapped up filming, and the first trailer was released December 21.
The second trailer, embedded below, was released on 25 January 2018.
The age rating for the film is PG-13 in the US which means it’s likely to be a 12A in the UK.
Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard and Piers Brosnan are all returning to the film
What will Mamma Mia 2 be about?
In Mamma Mia 2, Sophie (played by Amanda Seyfried), returns to her childhood home pregnant and single.
With the help of her mother Donna’s childhood friends, she is told the story of how her own mum prepared for a life with a daughter in a series of flashbacks.
It will also go into more depth about the tricky situation Donna (played by Meryl Streep and, in flashback, Lily James) found herself in that left any one of three men Sophie’s father.
And just when Sophie thinks things can’t get any more complicated, her Nan (played by Cher) also makes an unexpected appearance on the island.
It is not yet known how prominently Meryl will appear in the new film
Who’s in the cast of Mamma Mia 2?
The team tried to secure as much of the original cast as possible, with many of the lead actors agreeing to put on the glitz for another round of the Greek Island romcom.
