Weight loss can be difficult to achieve but with summer fast approaching some people might be thinking about shaping up for the warmer weather.  With so many diet plans around, knowing where to start can be the tricky part but one diet plan offers results that are faster than most.  The ketogenic, or keto, diet has soared in popularity and offers a structured plan to help dieters lose weight.  By following this plan, some people can see results of up to 10lb weight loss in the first week and continue to lose more weight after that.

How it works

The keto diet requires slimmers to follow a low-carb and high-fat diet plan in order to melt away the pounds.

They will also need to focus on eating foods high in protein to help the body enter into a state called ketosis, which is thought to help burn fat.

According to research published on perfectketo.com and approved by Dr. Anthony Gustin, DC, MS, many slimmers will drop a remarkable amount of weight straight away if they follow the plan strictly.

In the first week alone, dieters can drop 10lb by ditching the carbs and upping their fat intake.

She also added more exercise into her lifestyle and over a year slimmed from a huge 20st 7lb to a much healthier 12st 12lb.

For dieters who do not find it easy to follow a plan, simply switching to a smaller plate can help them eat less, according to research.
