TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR announced their new pre-season kit today, but the news did not go down well with expectant fans.
The club are still yet to confirm any kits they will wear in actual matches this season, instead released a Nike-made t-shirt for their three-game tour of the US in July.
Spurs will compete in the 2018 International Champions Cup across the pond, starting against Roma in San Diego on July 25.
Three days later they face Barcelona in Pasadena’s 90,000-capacity Rose Bowl, before finishing off against AC Milan in Minneapolis on July 31.
The 18-team tournament also includes all of last season’s Premier League top six, fighting it out to top a league table including European giants Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Tottenham fans were not too happy with the club when they announced the new gear on Twitter however.
Spurs signed a multi-year agreement with Nike in 2017 to supply their kits for the coming years.
But the American brand have still not yet announced the shirts that the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will be donning at the club’s new White Hart Lane ground next season.
News broke on Wednesday that Spurs have reportedly applied for a delay to their stadium switch, asking the Premier League to let them use Wembley again for at least one home game at the start of the campaign.
The plan would see Spurs play their first four games away from the new ground, with construction potentially moving the first game there until October.
