The beautiful UK walk that’s home to ‘England’s most striking landscapes’ | Travel News | Travel

This famous walk is one that Brits and tourists from all over the world are in awe of. Along this route, you’ll see incredible coastal views and unforgettable scenery.

England is home to many popular walks which have attracted thousands of hikers over the years but this one is one of the most well-known in the south. Travel and Squeak say the sights on this walk are some of England’s most stunning landscapes. One person who took the hike wrote on Tripadvisor said: “Really spectacular bit of coastal scenery. The brilliant white cliffs make for some great photographs.

“We didn’t spend long as we were just driving by, but clearly people could spend longer here either in the pebble beach below or hiking along the cliffs.”

The Seven Sisters hike will take you along the iconic white cliffs and you can even make a stop off at a classic country pub when you finish your journey.

Hikers tend to start the journey at Seaford and end in Eastbourne, and this route is a well-trodden one that’s not overrated.

Anywhere We Roam says: “The Seven Sisters cliffs ripple along the coast of the South Downs, forming one of the most recognisable landscapes in the UK.

“With white cliffs plunging into the sea, framed by rolling farmland and wide coastal skies, it’s no wonder this is one of England’s top natural highlights.”

The Seven Sisters name refers to the famous chalk cliffs that form part of the trail. These cliffs are a prominent feature of the area and are known for their white, chalky appearance.

Each cliff has been named individually: Haven Brow, Short Bottom, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Bailey’s Hill, Went Hill.

Another person who took the route said on Tripadvisor: “Delightful area, full of wonderful walks ranging from flat to more challenging.

“Amazing coastal scenery, possibly some of the best in the UK. Wonderful river valley, towering chalk stone cliffs, and stunning beach.

“Seaford Head, the coast guard cottages and the Seven Sisters are such iconic views.”

The 13 mile hike is one that can take between four and seven hours to complete, depending on how long you stop to enjoy the views along the way.

If you’re looking for adventure without going too far, this could be the perfect walk for you this summer.
