To get started on the quick and easy meal, he carefully placed the raw eggs into the glass kettle and then poured the water until they are fully covered.

Next, turn on the kettle and allow the eggs to boil.

Depending on how soft or hard you want your eggs, you may need to turn on the kettle multiple times as it usually switches off automatically after a few moments.

Drain the water out of the kettle, and remove the cooked eggs – then serve.

It’s unclear how long Stephen cooked his eggs for but many suggested boiling them for at least 10 minutes in the kettle.

Many described the trick as a ‘life hack’, ‘genius’ and a ‘game changer’, as some revealed the other foods they have cooked in their kettles.

‘I’ve been doing this stuff for years! Cook hotdogs and everything,’ one said.

Another said: ‘I made dumplings in my boiler, ramen in my boiler, eggs in the boiler you can have a full course meal with one of those things.’

Another said: ‘This makes life so much easier.’

Meanwhile, others also pointed out that it was best to avoid using kettles with the exposed coil as eggs can crack if they touch the heating element.

‘I used to do this and then my egg cracked because the boiling was too strong,’ one said.
