KEVIN Clifton has revealed the BBC are yet to invite him back for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The dancer, 36, was crowned the champion of the last series with TV presenter Stacey Dooley.
He told BBC Radio Humberside: “They ask us, and probably in the next month or two they’ll start making phone calls to everyone to talk about the next series and whether they want you back on the show or not.
“You’re never contracted to more than just the series that you’re on.
“Hopefully, they’ll give me a call and say, ‘We’d love to have you back for the 2019 series‘, and then I’ll be doing that from August to Christmas.”
After winning the latest series with Stacey Dooley, Kevin told the radio station: “You never want to count your chickens.”
The pro dancer claimed that his stint with Stacey helped him to love dance again following his split from ex-wife Karen Clifton.
Referencing their split on the series’ spin off show It Takes Two, the professional dancer called the past 12 months the “craziest year of my life”.

“I have had one of the craziest years of my life, you’ve just been so nice to work with, I’ve enjoyed it so much.
“I know I said this the other day, but, I’ve fallen in love with dancing all over again and Strictly all over again.”
