Britain’s Got Talent star Simon Cowell will reportedly undergo surgery after he fell off his bike while out in Malibu, California. The America’s Got Talent judge and executive producer, 60, was hospitalised at the weekend after the accident.
During the current coronavirus pandemic, Simon has been spending quality time with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their 6-year-old son Eric as well as her 14-year-old son Adam from a previous relationship.
The talent judge landed in hospital after an accident with his electric bike which left him with a back injury.
“Simon has broken his back and will be having surgery this evening,” a representative for Cowell told PEOPLE.
“Simon had a fall from his bike on Saturday afternoon whilst testing his new electric bike in the courtyard at his house in Malibu with his family.”

Speaking about his weight loss journey, Simon said: “I started this diet a year ago and I’ve lost 60 pounds.
“I’m doing a bit of cooking. I’m exercising. Funny enough, more during this time as well, sticking to the diet. The only difficult thing is when Eric orders a pizza…that’s the number one thing I miss.”
The America’s Got Talent creator previously said he can’t believe how good he looks since losing weight, as he managed to shed several inches from his waistline.
He added to The Sun: “The most dramatic period was the first month where most of the weight comes off and you look at yourself and think ‘wow.’
