Russia’s army sustained huge losses to both personnel and equipment in November in one of the deadliest and bloodiest months of the campaign so far for the Kremlin.

Putin’s forces are steadily advancing across Ukrain’s Donestk region and are bearing down on the key strategic towns of Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.

The Russians are leveraging their superiority in both manpower and weapons to take ever increasing chunks of Ukrainian territory.

However, Ukrainian troops continue to inflict massive casualties on the invading Russian hordes.

Putin’s army lost a staggering 45,729 soldiers in November, according to Ukraine’s Defence Ministry.

On one day alone, the Russians sustained 2,030 casualties – the highest daily rate since Putin launched his full-scale invasion in February 2022.

November’s total losses are equivalent to more than three motorised rifle divisions, according to the ministry.

In addition Ukrainian forces destroyed over £2.3 billion of Russian military equipment, exceeding the combined figure for losses in September and October.

These included 307 tanks, 899 armoured combat vehicles and 884 pieces of artillery.

To date it is estimated the Russian army has lost 743,920 soldiers – either killed or injured. The Kremlin is desperately scrambling to fill out its depleted frontline military units, as it scours the world for fresh recruits.

North Korea is believed to have sent around 12,000 of its soldiers to Russia, many of whom are reported to have been deployed to the Kursk front. Reports from pro-Kremlin bloggers also suggest that Putin’s army has recently recruited soldiers from Laos and Myanmar.

Pro-Russian military bloggers claim that Laotian soldiers signed military contracts with Putin’s army following the Laros 2024 exercises in the Primorsky region. Russia’s advance in the east of Ukraine has accelerated over the autumn, as Kyiv’s troops continue to suffer from a lack of weapons and fresh recruits.

Between the beginning of September and the end of November, the Russians captured over 1600km2 in Ukraine, and retook roughly 500 km2 in Kursk – according to open source investigators.
