Royal fans couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw a picture of Prince William and Princess Kate in what was thought to be the living room of the grandson of former US president John F. Kennedy (JFK) via his Instagram story.
In an Instagram story posted by Jack Schlossberg, seen on a shelf underneath his television showcasing a professional picture taken of the royal couple. The sight caused a fan frenzy on social media.
One fan on X wrote: “Jack Schlossberg (John F. Kennedy’s grandson) having a picture of William and Kate in his living room wasn’t on my bingo card this year.”
Another commented: “He’s too funny, he has a proper picture of William and Catherine in his living room.”
Another speculated it might be an official Christmas card from the royals. They wrote: “Maybe a signed Christmas card? I like that side of the Kennedy family.”
Prince William has previously shared that JFK and his famous 1961 “moonshot” speech served as inspiration for the Earthshot initiative.
In a Ted Talk in July 2021, William once said: “I’ve long been inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 mission to put a man on the moon within a decade. He named it the Moonshot. It seemed crazy. We’d only just launched the first satellite. Putting a man on the moon that quickly seemed impossible.”
In 2022, Prince William celebrated the second annual Earthshot Prize in Boston. The awards were put on in partnership with both Boston’s mayor, Michelle Wu, and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation.
The Prince of Wales said: “In taking that giant leap for mankind, the team behind the Moonshot united millions of people around the world — that this crazy ambition wasn’t so crazy after all.”
William added: “We must harness the spirit of human ingenuity and purpose on and turn it with laser-sharp focus and urgency on the most pressing challenge we have ever faced: Repairing our planet.”
Following the announcement of the 2022 awards’ location at the time, JFK’s only grandson shared his support on social media. “Earth shot baby !” he wrote on X, responding to a video shared by the JFK library.
The only grandson of 35th United States president John F. Kennedy, had posted the video on Instagram on December 4.
He caught a segment on the US Today Show about Sotheby’s second annual Fashion Icons auction, including three clothing items that belonged to his late aunt, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who was married to his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.
He described the auction as “super creepy”.
“Have me on to discuss real issues w @savannahguthrie,” he said, tagging the show’s anchor, Australian-American journalist Savannah Guthrie.
According to People Magazine, a press release from Sotheby’s calls Bessette-Kennedy “an irreplaceable figure, captivating the world with her timeless elegance, minimalist style, and what is known today as ‘quiet luxury’.”
