Festive! In Louisiana earlier this month, Popeyes gave out Mardi Gras beads with takeout boxes at the end
It’s not first wearable food holder put out by a food chain.
For Mardi Gras this year, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen gave out Mardi Gras beads on March 5, doling them out to customers exclusively at its Canal Street restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana.
But these weren’t regular necklaces: Fastened to the ends of two strings of purple and green beads were sturdy Popeyes takeout boxes, which were the perfect size to fit any of the chain’s snack box orders.
This way, those celebrating the raucous holiday could both eat their food and hold their drinks while walking down the street and from bar to bar.
